Camtasia is probably one of the best screencast software available on the Internet.
Normally available at the price of $ 299, you can download it for free and legaly !
For those who still don’t know, a Screencast is a video screen capture to build a tutorial, a test or simply to present an application or a website. Camtasia Studio is truly a profesionnal software with all necessary features required for video capture, video editing and video publishing on the web.
The version you can download for free is “Camtasia Studio 3.1.3″. This is not the latest version of this fabulous screencast software, but it is anyway fully functional and you can even get the latest version for the price of a simple update ($ 149).

Streaming Room is a very strange video application:
This web 2.0 application allows to create virtual chat rooms with live video streams of your very own choice.
Concretely:
1) You create your chat room.
2) You select live video streams you want to add to your video streaming room (out of all live video streams available on Ustream.tv)
3) You can then invite friends, colleagues, partners, customers to watch video streams with you and to chat in live.
It is hard to find how this type of service can be used, but I’m sure it is possible to find interesting ideas where this web 2.0 service can bring a real added value.
Video conferencing with multiple attendees is possible with a text area. But I think profesional video conference providers are already doing far better than that…
Streaming Room could allow to follow a sportive event with different camera angles and to chat live about it with connected friends or supporters…
If you have any concrete idea, feel free to propose it within comments…

Sidereel is a website where you can find thousands of links to watch streaming videos as on the famous TV Links or Joox, but not only. Indeed this site wants to become the reference for every type of video on the Internet, meaning contents under copyright illegaly streamed as well as legal download sites and VOD platforms.
Almost everything can be found on Sidereel : series, movies, documentaries, TV shows, cartoons, more private videos, music videos, etc…
The model is very simple: user generated content…
As you can read on Sidereel: “You’re the guide – SideReel’s success is based on contributions by users like you. The entire site is editable and anyone can add a page! Feel free to add a review, information about the cast or crew of a show, or a new page entirely. Give it a shot.”

PokerTube is a video community where you can watch and upload poker videos. PokerTube is divided into two major parts “Your Films†which are all the films uploaded by members, and “From PokerTube†which is all the material from the site (interviews of well known and not so well known poker profiles, reports from big and small tournaments, worldclass card & chip tricks, documentaries and all sorts of moving images from wherever there’s a flop).
To upload a video you have to register/log-in. Once you’re registered you will have access to your own page where you can upload your videos, see all your uploaded films and activate/deactivate them.
When you upload a video you have to fill in certain fields: Title, Category and Language. You will also have to confirm that you hold all the rights for the video you’re uploading. PokerTube will screen all videos before publishing them.
Each video must be no more than 100MB with a maximum length of 60 minutes.
PokerTube accepts the following video file formats:
- avi
