DailyMotion is a video sharing website, based in France. Against a lot of competitors, this website seems to care a lot about its very own design (not a simple copy of YouTube this time !), quality of content (not only the neighbour’s cat flushing the toilet…), as well as quality and fluidity of images.
DailyMotion is available in several languages: English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Swedish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and French.
Three viral videos have been recently launched to promote added value of the DailyMotion platform compared to competition (in the pure Mac vs PC commercial style) …
Dailymotion vs Competition : Quality
Dailymotion vs Competition : Content
Dailymotion vs Competition : Localized
These three videos are fluid quality of image is rather good. I hope this is not only for the commercial image, and that all videos are playing as well…

There are tons of websites that allows you to distort pictures…but when you want to play in front of your webcam and have a live distortion, the number of website is drastically reduced…
Anyway, some websites propose to play with your live image, either by adding some distortion you can parametize, or simply by adding some live effects such as a burning effect or snow falling down, and stopped on the top of your head…
Webcamtastic and Sigost are quite similar concepts, since they allow you to play in front of your screen, adding distortion effects, then taking a picture and sharing this picture.
Do you know other websites like those, but also allowing to record your video ?

Last, but not least, interesting ressources to develop your own Flash application to play with your webcam on Andrew Trice’s Cynergy Systems blog.
Video Tabs is a great idea for people who want to learn how to play guitar.

Videos can be used for a lot of things, but I find it very useful for knowledge transfer and sharing of experience.
As a great source for free video guitar lessons and tabs, Video Tabs combines quality video lessons served up by YouTube with accurate easy-to-print tabs so that you can more easily learn your favorite songs.
You can search for specific songs you would like to play, or simply watch more generic lessons about how to start playing or learn specific techniques.
A great idea with a real added value for videos streamed by YouTube.
